September Holidays and Remeberances

September is an eclectic mix of serious observances, national holidays, and fun, quirky celebrations. Here's a list for the month. I probably forgot some of them. If I did  send me a note and I will update the list. Sept 11 is a day we will never forget.

Labor Day (U.S.)

National Teddy Bear Day

Date: September 9

Reason: Celebrating the stuffed toy that has comforted countless children.

Grandparents Day (U.S.)

Date: First Sunday after Labor Day

International Talk Like a Pirate Day

National Pepperoni Pizza Day

 Date: September 20

International Day of Peace

 Date: September 21

Reason: Established by the United Nations, dedicated to promoting peace.

Hobbit Day

Date: September 22

Reason: Celebrates the birthdays of Bilbo and Frodo Baggins from J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Hobbit" and "The Lord of the Rings".
